    1. Mel says:

Pet is a centaur. He lives alone in an old slaughterhouse, is fed up with his life and fills his days with drinking and smoking. When a young centaur shows up at his doorstep, Pet wants the boy gone. But the youngster is very determined, and -slowly but surely- he finds a way into Pat's home and life. Fall is a short story with m/m aspects. It's not your everyday m/m read and that's what I liked about it. I liked the fact that the main characters were centaurs, I liked the bits and pieces of bac [...]

I enjoyed this story, and I enjoyed this world, but the reason it scored so low was because so much was confusing. There is so much here that can be fleshed out into a longer piece. I was even hoping that maybe this was just an off shoot of another story without any luck. I enjoyed the crabby centaur, the young go-getter, the conflict between them and their histories. The end confused me a little, as to why everything happened, even if I have an understanding of what happened. The history of eve [...]

    3. Mara Ismine says:

Amusing tale of centaurs with a big dollop of angst. Who can resist a centaur trying to drown his troubles with whisky and beer with a matching nicotine habit? Pet does not come across as the noble, wise advisor with hooves and tail. Pet is rude, obnoxious, cantankerous and hurting. Matthias has plans to change that.Enjoyable read even when you want to knock some sense into either of them.

    4. Micha Meinderts says:

The incessant cursing bothered me a little, even though it fitted the character of Pet. It just seemed a little too much. It also felt like a part of a bigger story, but I liked how the author just assumed the reader knew what was going on without explaining away, and still not losing me as a reader and getting me all confused.

    5. Jason Bradley says:

Maybe more like 2.5 stars. There were a lot of places in the story where I was only guessing at what was happening. There were no complete explanations for the conflict or for what was supposed to be the resolution at the end.

    6. Sarah Spelbring says:

With the popularity of vampires and werewolves lately it's nice to see something different. The beginning was a little hard to comprehend, and I still don't know if this is meant to be on earth somewhere, but it's not bad.

    7. Тамрико says:

Rather confusing. I would have given the book another star if it weren't for a lot of guess work on my part. The plot is unusual and could have developed into a very interesting read if the author spent more time on it. I did enjoy the book :)

    8. Jilrene ♥ says:

not quite 3 stars, but rounded up - strange little story

    9. Indigo says:

      2.75*

    10. Holly Full Moon Bites Book Reviews says:

This was very different and I felt it would have been better with more back ground info. Or if the story line was more detailed.

    11. Chiara says:

I don't know how to rate this one. It felt incomplete.
