    1. Beth says:

Later proved to be a total fiction, Joan Lowell documented her 'real life' adventures aboard her father's tallship at the turn of the century. It's a beautiful, poignant coming-of-age story that has remained one of my favorites since I was a young child.

    2. Paige says:

WOW! My grandma gave me this book for my birthday when I was six. That, my Friend, was the start of loving books for me.

    3. Katherine says:

One of my grandmother's favorite books. I have her 1929 copy when it was a bestseller. I loved reading about the true-life adventures of a young girl raised at sea aboard her father's ship.
