    1. Linda Rainey says:

I love suspense books and this book met my expectations from the first word to last.Alexis's and Luke drew me into the book with their stories and Jessica's plight pulled me through. The issue of rape was dealt with in a sensitive mannerAs always I a pleased with a book that shows God's love and redemption.I look forward to the next book in the series.

    2. Randy Tramp says:

Alexis attempts to help a girl who's been raped, while at the same time struggles with a relationship with Luke. The reader had a "behind the scenes" look at what happens when a violation happens. It's horrible. There are action moments, tense scenes, and an exciting ending. I loved it!What I love about this book is a couple of things. First, the truths of the Bible are lived in real time. Second, it demonstrates the struggles of both Christians and non-Christians alike. We are at war with the forc [...]

    3. Robin Densmore says:

Linda wrote a compelling story that grips your heart. The story takes you into the world of Alexis where running from tragedy, she finds herself facing her fears and learning to trust. She looks evil in the eye and tries to justify a world where a good God would allow evil to exist. I love the way the author weaves the Truth of God's love into the pages.

    4. Lynda Knapp says:

Wonderful story!I definitely recommend this book. I look forward to reading more by Linda K. Rodante. I hated to see the book end - the characters were life like and this book was well-written.

    5. Robin says:

Wow, what a story line. This book kept me reading to find out what in the world is going on. Loved it!!!

    6. Sharon DeLand says:

Loved all the previous ones in series and ordered the next one. Great books.

    7. Julie Patterson says:

Good storyAlexis has a long way to go in getting over her past and realizing that all men are not bad. She needs to learn who God is and that she is really never alone.

    8. Sherry Ledet says:

Alexis feels damaged so she helps to empower the damaged to face down the one who hurt them until one of those she wants to help helps her to find the way to her own empowerment. At a small Christian college Alexis has been hired to teach an entry law course. They are desperate to replace the professor who was suppose to teach the class so the dean assures her that if she doesn't tell that she isn't a Christian she can have the job temporarily until the end of the semester when they can find a C [...]

    9. Stella Potts says:

This book was actually published before the others in the series so it will end up being, I believe, number 3 book. However, you do not have to read the others to enjoy this one as it can be a standalone. Alexis is running from her past and from her job as a prosecutor where she has had to deal with abuse victims. She takes a job as a professor in a Christian College, even though she is not a Christian, and there makes the acquaintance of Luke who has problems of his own. When one of their stude [...]

    10. Gail Johnson says:

Wanting a break from her job, Alexis Jergenson applies at the Appalachian Christian College. And that poses a big problem. Alexis doesn't claim to be a Christian and Professor Luke Stephens doesn't fancy an attorney masquerading as a professor. But when a student reveals her troubles at home, Alexis and Luke team up to bring justice to those in need. Will they find justice or will their efforts prove futile?A modern-day freedom-fighter, Linda K. Rodante takes pen in hand and weaves stories of lov [...]

    11. Marylou Hess says:

I thoroughly enjoyed this well-written Christian Romantic Suspense novel. I liked the characters, especially Alexis and Luke, who were fully developed and had flaws. There was more than adequate suspense when Leland, who raped and physically abused a student, wanted to kill Alexis for helping. (The violence was off scene, which is what I prefer.) I enjoyed the Christian romance. This is a heart-warming story that reminds us that with God's love we can change for the better. I'm looking forward t [...]

    12. Sandra Benford says:

Great seriesI loved this series of books. I enjoyed the characters, the settings, the mystery and the outcome. God is not just a characterHe is the Real deal and you are able to meet those who trust Him, those who are skeptical, and those who are changed. I am disappointed that Linda Rodante has only written these 4 novels.

    13. Nancy says:

A Gripping Story Alexis is a believable main character. Her thirst for justice is so evident. I admired her courage to fight for Jessica's rights. The story was too short for me, but wrapped up nicely. This is a 3.5 star rating for me that I bumped up as the issues brought up were so important.

    14. Varina Denman says:

Edgy, gutsy, real. Linda Rodante's characters grapple with hard issues and painful memories, but a poignant message of hope shines through in every scene. The suspense, romance, and spirituality kept me turning the pages of this great debut novel!

    15. Pamela says:

Very goodI really enjoyed this story, well written with an excellent plot, fully developed characters and great suspense. This is the first book I have read by Linda K R donate but it will not be the last.

    16. Nikki says:

Another Good read!Just as good as the prequel! A bit on the predictable side . bad guy looses and the good guy gets the girl. A nice easy read with a great lesson on accepting Jesus as your Lord and Savior!

    17. Sue says:

3.5 rating. This is not my typical genre, but I enjoyed it. Well written, but just a little heavy on the romance and slow getting to the suspense for my taste.

    18. Jean Kinsey says:

A wonderful read, as are all of Linda's titles.

    19. Pat Whitworth says:

This was such a good book I was sorry it ended.Alexis is wanting anew beginning will she find it, or will her past continue to haunt her .Can she trust again.
