This is book about a mistake-a Vegas Wedding. The hero and heroine get married after a night of tequila and sex. They wake up and know it's a mistake and think that the wedding hasn't been filed. Meredith Chandler-Harris, a former Miss Texas and the daughter of a Texas billionaire discovers she's still married. She needs out of the marriage with Jason Lynhurst the son and new CEO of a major fashion house in Manhattan. Meredith travels to NY to get Jason to sign annulment papers. Jason is shocked [...]

"This marriage is not all my fault. You stood in front of that Elvis impersonator with me."I love a good Desire (lower levels of dickishness than Presents, but still with a good amount of drama and emotional turbulence, and lots of negotiation regarding boundaries and relationships), and this one was a delight. And it's a contemporary marriage of convenience that makes sense! Okay, so the initial reason for their Las Vegas quickie marriage two years ago was one of the silliest things I've ever r [...]

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas, right? Well, Cantrell easily proves that’s not always the case with this one. Comedy & romance ensue in this wildly creative second chance romance. Cantrell’s well presented & easygoing writing style brings this story to life in a big way.The characters… What can I say? I loved them even if I couldn’t even fathom what possessed them to do what they did. I loved getting to know them and seeing how they made everything work for them. The magic [...]

AMAZING! Yet another win for a very deserving author. I absolutely loved this story especially since I had read Meredith's sister's story first from EX to Eternity. Both books had me wishing for more which is always a good thing. This story was another easy read with no grammatical errors at all which is one of my favorite things about Kat Cantrell's books. I have never found any errors at all. I read this book straight after reading Cara's story and one story flowed from the other which was ver [...]

I picked this up kind of as a joke. Yesterday was a particularly exhausting day at work and I just kept saying I wanted a smutty romance novel, red powerade and a bag of chips to take to bed. I grabbed this out of the sale section in walmart thinking it would be a quick hilarious read I have to say It wasn't bad lol It only took me 40 mins to read and I actually really got into the story {not just for the steamy sex scenes which didn't happen as often as I thought they would.) I wouldn't say it' [...]

    7. Harlequin Books says:

"Talk about chemistry! Jason and Meredith are opposite personalities who have no problem connecting in the bedroom. Together, they put a wickedly sexy spin on the drama of New York fashion" (RT Book Reviews, 4 1/2 stars).Miniseries: Newlywed Games

This was a good quick read by Kat Cantrell. I wasn't real sure what to expect with this one but it was better than what I thought it would be.Meredith is a former Miss Texas and daughter of a Texas billionaire. When Meredith has a fling with Jason in Vegas, she realizes that she is married to him even though they thought it was a joke while they were there and were a little too drunk to know what they were doing. Jason is the son of a CEO in a major fashion house in Manhattan. When he and Meredi [...]

    11. Kathie (katmom) says:

I haven't read the first book in the Newlywed Games series, but I was quickly caught up in the story. Meredith and Jason had a "pretend" wedding two years ago. They both felt a connection when their eyes met in Vegas. They could talk to each other like they had met years before. They decided to "marry" to act the part of grown ups. Then they went the separate ways, each believing the other had destroyed the marriage license. Somehow, and we never find out how, the license is filed and they've ac [...]

    12. Angela Simmons says:

I love it when the hero and heroine have a history. It just makes the chemistry that much more intense. And Jason and Meredith have amazing chemistry that sizzles off the pages.“What’s your dream, Meredith? Tell Me?”“Why?” she asked suspiciously. “More leverage?” Oh, yeah, she was no dummy. And that turned him on as much as everything else in her full package. More maybe. The fact that she was so savvy about his motivation changed it instantly. “No, because I’m curious. My mout [...]

*** 4.5 Stars ***He is using marriage as a tool but when love comes into play will he be able to get her to stay married with him or will she go through with the divorce. This was a very refreshing quick read that I enjoyed immensely. I love it when I get sucked into a story and when the ending comes it’s like it’s over but how I just started the story. These two characters ended up getting married in Vegas as a pack to grow up and they both believed that the paperwork was never submitted. I [...]

Meredith has firm plans for her future—Invest in her sister’s bridal gown business so they can work equally toward making their small company a success. But to do that, Meredith first needs to ask her father to front her the money she so desperately need. This is where Meredith hits a snag. Two years earlier on a trip to Vegas, she met and married Jason, a sexy man who’d lost his way. They parted company after Vegas without filing the paperwork therefore not legitimizing their marriage. Ho [...]

Books, Coffee & PassionI fell head over heels in love with this book, my expectations were high because I loved Meredith in the first book of this series and Kat Cantrell totally nailed it!Jason and Meredith got married in Vegas but they thought the marriage wasn't valid. Two years later, Meredith wants to make a grown up move and invest in her sister business turning it into a partnership, but then she finds out that she’s still married to Jason. I received an A.R.C. or advanced review copy and am giving my honest opinion.I was so looking forward to this book, of the two newlywed gamesd it did not disappoint! And fair warning: I loved the premise and Kat Cantrell's writing style so this book was a win-win for me because her books are always breath uniquely-new life into tried-and -true story lines. And by reading them in order, we can clearly see that the idea of the sister's shared friendship and history. But, I was sorely tempted to read [...]

See more of my reviews on my blog Thoughts At One In The Morning. My Thoughts:Married in Vegas and forgot to take care of the paperwork properly so you're still married? Well, then. Talk about a recipe for disaster. And one I'm quite fond of! This makes more than one great story from Kat Cantrell, so I have to say, I'm very pleased.Still being married throws a little bit of a wrench in their lives. It was an accident that the marriage stuck, but both Meredith and Jason are going to make the most [...]

After two years of not knowing she has been married all due to a accident with a "Grown-Up" pact, Meredith is really trying to grow-up and the first thing is getting a quickie divorce with out her dad knowing so that she when she asks her father for a loan there is really nothing he can find that will make him say no to the loan. From Fake to Forever is the second book in Kat Cantrell’s series Newlywed Games. An impromptu marriage and a weekend in Vegas turns into a nightmare for Meredith Chandler-Harris. Meredith is trying to secure her future when she discovers her wedding license was filed and she’s still married to Jason Lynhurst. We all have regrets. Whether it's the clarity brought about by a hangover or a friend's sound advice, we all have things we wish we'd never done. However, poor Meredith doesn't know for certain which she regrets the most Marrying Jason in the first place or not having the courage to work it all out years before now. In "From Fake to Forever" Meredith is given a modified "do-over." But, does this opportunity make her angry or hopeful? Throughout this story, there are moments when Meredith doesn't [...]

    22. Amaryllis Turman says:

This is a book about a romance in the cutthroat industry of fashion. It seemed at first that all Jason and Meredith had going in their relationship was the physical chemistry. It got to the point that I stopped counting the number of love scenes. But do not misunderstand me. The story is more than one extended love scene.Getting Jason to admit how he felt was the hard part. He has all his emotions bottled up so he can avoid rash decision-making like his father. His stubbornness almost got to the p [...]

    23. Bonnie says:

From Fake To Forever by Kat Cantrell. Meredith Chandler had just met businessman Jason Lynhurst in Las Vegas for wild sex for a few days and got married by an Elvis impersonator. Meredith was suppose to burn the marriage paper, but somehow she forgot. Two years later Meredith's father's lawyer found the papers about the marriage. He went to Meredith and told her to tell her dad about it. Meredith said she was going to go see Jason and have him sign divorce papers. No one would be the wiser. Ther [...]

    24. Ree says:

Meredith and Jason embark on a marriage of convenience as a means to an end when their marriage causes problems in each other's lives. They didn't count on their opponent pulling out as many stops as were available, but neither did they count on the attraction they felt for each other in Vegas to be still burning so hotly. This was fun, and also heartwarming. It was fun to see Meredith try to seduce Jason on several occasions.Good read. I would like to read the first book in the series: From Ex t [...]

    25. Catherine Hayward says:

Love love love this book, I think more than the first in series(cara and keith) as others have I read this straight after reading cara and keiths story. Its lovely to catch glimpses of their continuing life as well as finding out about meredith and why she is like she is in caras story. Wonderful dynamics between the carachtors in the book. Hope theirs more in this series. Thoughly enjoyable read easy to digest. More please Kat

I received this book via the First Reads giveaway. Thank you to Ms.Kat for sending it to me for review!I'm giving this a 3.5. It's a face paced, short read. This book is centered on fashion instead of wedding dresses like book 1. Two years have passed since Meredith and Jason have been together (much like in Cara and Keith's story) I missed the humor that I found in book one. It has a few flaws ,in my opinion, but, it was still a cute story.

    27. Jennifer Disario says:

Book 2 in Cantrell's Newlywed Games series is another great read! A night of shenanigans which include too many drinks and some hot sex ended with a Las Vegas wedding. The morning after brings about confusion, controversy and lots of blame. Meredith decides an annulment will fix it all but her new husband needs a wife and this seems to be the perfect answer read the book for the rest!

    28. Isha Coleman says:

A marriage of convenience leads to love. Jason needs a bride, Meredith may be just want he needs. What happens when a marriage of convenience leads to love. An enjoyable read, From Fake to Forever proves the perfect companion to From Ex to Eternity. A fun, lighthearted series that leaves you craving more. Received an ARC for an honest review.

    29. Tracey Lee says:

I enjoyed From Fake to Forever. I read it after its sister story, From Ex to Eternity. I liked that there was a tie between the two books but they are stand alone books. Meredith and Jason's story was an easy read and kept me interested. There was just enough fun, drama, heat and respect between the characters.I recommend this book.

    30. Debra says:

This is a "forced marriage" story that rock chicks can swallow. (No [pun intended) Vegas wedding after too many tequila shotsheck yeah. The dialogue is snappy and the bride is no door mat! Thank you! Because sometimes what happens in Vegas doesn't stay in Vegas. This book made me laugh. If you like romances with a bit of a biteis is it.
