      This book is hilarity personified. If you want a good laugh, and who doesn't, you'll love this story. It is a real tonic. It’s a quick read that generates a very human side of family life. Sometimes I wasn’t laughing at the characters as much as I was at myself. Maybe a little predictable at times but it allowed me to relate to the situations as they presented themselves as a parent, a wife and a sister.       This novel reads like a sitcom. I could almost hear the audio laughter when the family members spoke to each other at times. It was a funny book, which I enjoyed, yet I have to admit that at times I felt like the story dragged a bit. I would still be interested in reading the second volume and seeing what Gary, Joyce and their children are up to. The mixture of personalities within the family was quite interesting.
