This was a fun, well written, hot and sweet story. I loved Trey's name for the hot guy in the leather pants at the steampunk convention he's attending. He just couldn't help but stare at The Pants. When he finally gets to meet the cutie that fills The Pants, what a surprise to find out it's someone he already knows. It really would have been a great longer story. A little bit more history would have made for some great tension. Still a good story without it, but a little "shown" pre-convention b [...]

I love the first short story by these authors (The Once and Future Love) -- but this sophomore story is just so-so for me. I like the set-up; it sets in a Steampunk convention. I enjoy the 'feeling' that the authors write about the people or the costume. I even appreciate the definition of Steampunk, for steampunk-virgin-slash-dummy like myself *grin*. It starts off cute with Trey trying to find the guy he names "The Pants" because that is what he noticed at first -- which comes as a surprise wh [...]

This review can be found at Brief Encounters Reviews. This was a fun little story with steampunk details, but it didn’t get bogged down for me. Trey spends most of his first day at a local convention teased by glimpses of an amazing butt in leather. When he finally tracks the butt down, working on a replica of HG Wells’s time machine, he’s shocked to find it’s Joss, from the office. They’ve worked together for a couple of years, but he never really thought they had that much in common, [...]

Sometimes the love we are looking for is right under our noses, and this story illustrates that fact perfectly. Granted, the two main characters have to go away from their regular workplace and reacquaint themselves with each other at a Steampunk convention, and I loved how they both discover things about each other in days that they haven't discussed in two years of working together in 'the real world'.Trey tells the story, and it all begins fairly harmlessly. He follows a pair of tight leather [...]

Reviewed on Hearts On Fire heartsonfirereviews/ This was a fun friends to lovers story set against the backdrop of a Steampunk Convention. Trey is very much into Steampunk and the costumes that go along with it but when he spots a perky butt poured into a pair of leather pants all other costumes fly out the window. Everywhere Trey goes in the convention he spots what he nicknames The Pants as he never manages to catch a look at the man's face. When the two men finally do meet face to face they a [...]

Originally posted at: longandshortreviews/boTrey Lewis is attending Atlanta’s newest steampunk convention, and is on a mission – one involving a sexy pair of leather pants. Trey had caught numerous glances of The Pants – always from behind – and was being tormented night and day by thoughts of caressing the ass in that supple leather. All kinds of wicked thoughts were distracting him, and so he’d decided to hunt down the body of the man belonging to those pants. So Trey was shocked to [...]

Read it one night before bed, and it's always fun to read a complete piece in that half-hour/45 minutes before I get sleepy and drop the Reader. I liked this story very much, especially because the steampunk aspects were presented in a context with which I'm familiar. I wasn't convinced the authors could build much story in 8000 words, but the writing had surprising depth and maturity. I especially loved the structure of the ending; I think that helped give the story the "feel" of an extended pl [...]
