Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs (Disney's Wonderful World of Reading), Walt Disney CompanyThe Grimm fairy tale gets a Technicolor treatment in Disney's first animated feature. Jealous of Snow White's beauty, the wicked queen orders the murder of her innocent stepdaughter, but later discovers that Snow White is still alive and hiding in a cottage with seven friendly little miners. Disguising herself as a hag, the queen brings a poisoned apple to Snow White, who falls into a death-like sleep that [...]

In Walt Disney's story of Snow White, we learn about flawless Princess Snow White who lives in a castle with her wicked stepmother the Queen. Sadly, Snow White's father, the King, has passed away leaving her no choice but to live with the Queen. The Queen was very jealous of Snow White and always competed with her to be the fairest one of all of the land. The Queen would always ask the Magic Mirror 'Who is the fairest one of all?'Then one day, the Queen's vanity got the better of her and she sat [...]

    6. Claire Macugay says:

I read the Disney picture book version of this story, and just out of curiosity I read the Brothers Grim version of the story. I had a friend who told me about how the original translations of their stories are pretty insane, and seemed to have been written to scare young children into good morals. I think the version I read was still cleaned up a bit from the original, but there was still one part that was included that I can definitely see why it was cut out of the Disney version. The stepmoth [...]

    7. Heather says:

The book jumps right into the evil witch. It doesn't even open on Snow White's life before, about her mom, dad, or how she came to have a stepmom. don't just skip over all that!!The stepmom is supposed to be beautiful, but she’s too evil looking. Obviously, she’s evil. But she looks haggard. &not beautiful. she's supposed to be the fairest of them all, so you could spiff her up a little! cuz she definitely isn't beautiful looking like that!“Magic mirror on the wall, who is the fairest [...]

My kids and I love Disney books. Another good one for bedtime stories. Snow White finds a home and decides to eat their food and sleep in their bad. (kind of sounds like the Three Bears right? Nope) So an evil witch who wants to be the prettiest in the land goes after Snow White as she is known to be the fairest in the land by the magic mirror. Let's just say the story is good, with apple's, dwarves, animals, and a prince. It is a must read.

    9. Hope Chasteen says:

Summary: This is the traditional Disney story line of Snow White. A young girl is running away from a huntsman who is in search for her heart. She finds a cottage and decides to take shelter there. She soon realizes that seven little dwarfs live there too! They bond and soon after they became friends, Snow White is encountered with an old lady. This old lady offers her an apple, and she bites it. This was a poisonous apple and made Snow White go into a deep sleep. The only way she could awaken i [...]

Snow white flees and lives with the 7 dwarves and they have a good time together until the witch disguised as an old woman poisons snow white with an apple making her fall into a deep sleep. Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs Is a great adventurous tale to read. Snow White is born so beautiful just like her mother had hoped for but unfortunately Snow's mother died shortly after. Snow's father the king remarried little did he know that he married a vain evil woman. Snow White was treated so terribly by the evil queen. She made her wear rags, clean, and sent her to the servant chambers. One day the queen realized how pretty snow was so she had a huntsman send her to the forest kill her. [...]

    12. Catherine Fevery says:

This book was a very feel good book. The story was about an evil queen who lived in a castle and so did Snow White. The queen wanted to be the prettiest in all the land so she asked her mirror if she was and the mirror had always replied that she was but this time, it replied that Snow White was. The queen was very angry and sent someone to kill her but he couldn’t, he loved her too much so he told her to run. She ran and ran until she came to a house of the seven dwarfs, but no one was home. [...]

    13. Taylor Munson says:

As a child this was one of my favorite disney movies, so I thought i would read the book. I love how the book and the movie are similar. However in the book I like the context between the characters more than I do in the movie. Snow White was a beautiful princess with an evil stepmother. Her beauty was what she was known for and her step mother tried taking it away. With the help of the seven dwarfs and her prince charming, snow white survived the step mothers poisonous apple. Today, they recent [...]

    14. Lauren Derosa says:

Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs was one of my most favorite children’s books when I was little! I loved looking at the different pictures in the book because they are so colorful and bright and I love that they are painted with water color because to me, it makes the images look light and beautiful which I think go along perfectly with the fairy tale. I also noticed the facial expressions on each page and I think that they really add to the feeling and mood that the book creates. They show the [...]

    15. Tyler Steinback says:

I read the book "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". Snow White's stepmother was jealous of her beauty. She hires a huntsman to kill Snow White. The huntsman couldn't kill her, so he let her go. Snow White ran through the woods and came across a small house filled with dwarfs. I liked this story because it shows love, hate, and compassion. I would recommend this book to kids who are learning to read, because it is an easy read.

    16. Cindy Torres says:

this story as a kid and even now, I found a bit weird a girl lives with a bunch of men, eats apple 'dies' and gets kissvby a guym

    17. Huma says:

Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs is a fantasy book written by Walt Disney. This story is well known throughout generations and has even been made into a movie. The appropriate age rage for this book is between three and seven years of age. I give it that range due to its colorful imagery that helps young children follow along with the story. At the same time this story requires a young and vivacious imagination which is perfect for young children. Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs is a tale of a bea [...]

    22. Erica Gronowski says:

This book is about a princess, Snow White, who hides in the forest in the house of seven dwarfs to hide from her stepmother. The Queen is jealous because she wants to be known as "the fairest in the land," and Snow White is way more beautiful than her. The dwarfs grow to love their unexpected visitor, who cleans their house and cooks their meals. But one day while the dwarfs are at their diamond mine, the Queen arrives at the cottage disguised as an old peddler woman and persuades Snow White to [...]

    23. Maddi Holmes says:

I would recommend this book for the primary grades, second through third grade, due to the lengthy pages. I would categorize it as traditional literature fantasy. This is a classic story that I grew up reading, and eventually watching. I always found it so interesting that she was comfortable walking into a random house. My parents always taught me the "stranger danger" phrase, so I would have never done that. I think that the dwarves are super cute, and they were always my favorite characters. I [...]

    24. Jessica says:

This use to be one of my favorite childhood books until I reread it again. I wasn't sure how to feel about it for a couple of reasons. I didn't like the idea of Snow White only feeling safe in the home of the seven dwarfs. Or how her step mother was so envious of her beauty and that is what saves her in the end. For young children and as a classic I understand many will continue to read it, but I don't know if I'd read this to my kids. The images on the book however, are very vivid and eye catch [...]

In this story, the wicked queen orders that Snow White be murdered. The queen finds out that Snow White is actually hiding out in a cottage with seven friendly little miners, the dwarfs. The witches disguises herself and goes to the cottage with a poisonous apple for Snow White. After eating the apple, Snow White falls into a death-like sleep that can only be awoke if she gets kissed by a Prince. Read the story to find out if Snow White gets that needed kiss. Great illustrations.

    27. Nikki says:

It wasn't the miniature book that I read but it was the same story. It was very well done. The pictures were all really good and looked exactly like the characters from the movie. The story was very well written as well. There were a few parts of the story that were left out that I think should have been included but other than that it was a really good story.

    28. Amanda Hughes says:

The traditional Disney story line of Snow White, one of my favorite fairy-tales. I love the movie just as much. Children will find this classic to be fun and engaging. The illustrations were a definite bonus.

    29. Karim Elmenshawy says:
