    1. Bobby says:

This is one of the best books I've read on communicating. It's strong point is helping someone develop the big idea, the main objective point. The rest is good, but I think this central theme (SCORRE method) is worth the price of the book and the time to read it. I think "Communicating for Change" does a better job of thinking through your entire talk, but both books are needed for any and every communicator!

    2. Charles says:

If you were to read just one book on speaking to college students and below, this would be the book. It will equip you with a well balanced arsenal of tools, speaking techniques, and what not to do. I've been speaking publicly here and there for a while now, but I think this book will help bring things up to an all new level.

    3. Jonathan Thayer says:

It's a bit dated (written in 1986), and it did not have a lot in it that I haven't heard before, but it had some helpful tips and reminders.

    4. Andy Anderson says:

great book on preparing a talk and speaking to teens
