A student story that I really enjoyed - maybe because it was about a fire-mage student who studied rather than partied. And the rules were followed, more or less, about innapropriate behaviour between student and professor.I hope there will be more about this couple or this universe (preferably both). Lajos has plenty of research to do. Toma and his twin brother still have to settle who is going to be saddled with their inheritance. And I do have to wonder if Epsen will grow out of his idiocy.

    2. Mandy*reads obsessively* says:

Sweet story about a very studious fire Mage and a professor at his school. It was a nice build up of friendship and flirting, but I still wish Epson's motivations had been clearer.

    3. Donna says:

I really enjoyed Ms. Miller's writing style but, she sure did leave out a lot of what I would consider important details in this story! Perhaps this is something that she has corrected in her more recent books I suppose I will find out, eventually! ;D

    4. Sherry says:

Meh. Very short story with little actual story. Toma seems to "roll his eyes" at everything anyone says or does, which was tiresome to have to read 2-3 times on each page. The characters are very flat and I found them annoying. *Not* recommended!

    5. Тамрико says:

This is a story about nothing, with wizards, professors, and students in it. One star. Half a star for the cool fire roses and another half for the shortness - I did not fall asleep while reading at Starbucks after all.

    6. Staceyr says:

A very sweet courtship between a shadow mage professor and a gifted fire mage student.

    7. Seregil says:

I'd have loved it if it were a bit longer. The ending seemed totally abrupt - I'm not sure I understood the motivations of the bully (Epsen), there was only a tiny glimpse into the main characters' relationship (up till the end they mostly just studied in the same room) and the interesting world building seem useless to the plot and kind of vague (for instance what did a shadow mage actually mean? why were they rare? etc.).

    8. blub says:

A sweet student-teacher themed short story. I admit I was more interested in the glitz of the magic Toma was practicing/performing for his examination than I was for the actual story. The little romantic development between Toma and Lajos was cute and I liked the fact that Lajos was becoming a bit of a stalker, seeking Toma out and adding some fun to his life.

    9. Davina says:

whats the deal with Epsen huh. i like how things wasn't rush and its a lovely short read even without sex scenes.

    10. Jason says:

It gives you heartburn. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!J/k!Can't wait to read!

Cute story where nothing much is happening (which surprisingly didn't bother me at all).

    13. Saskia says:

3.5 starsCute story, though not a lot of drama
